Congratulations to Craig Steedman, Executive chef for Scotland and Northern Ireland who was named Banqueting and Events Chef of the Year at the 2023 Scottish Excellence Awards.

The awards recognise and reward the highest standards in hospitality, foodservice and tourism across Scotland and Craig stood out for the judges in his category for his continued hard work and commitment in helping to raise the bar.

A proud Scotsman, Craig uses the very best Scottish seasonal ingredients and actively looks for niche new products to wow guests. Clients often say that ‘no request is ever too difficult’ and they’ve lost count of the number of times they’ve been asked about his sought-after haggis bon bons.

I think everyone who knows me will tell you how happy I was to be nominated and shortlisted, so to hear my name being called out as the winner was completely overwhelming. It was a memorable evening and to be back at events like this that celebrate our amazing industry was brilliant.”
