Is good nutrition the recipe for a happier workplace?

We know that good nutrition fuels wellbeing and better performance at work. We work with nutritionist, Dr Michael Thomas of Aston University in collaboration with the Direct Line Group on a project (Fuel Alive) to re-educate and incentivise their employees to make healthier choices at work and at home. After 12 weeks, participants showed signs of improved mental health (increased alertness and concentration), emotional well-being (decreased anxiety) and physical health (positive changes to blood glucose). Customer interaction improved, and restaurant sales increased by nearly 20%, a positive sign that employees were choosing to eat healthier, balanced meals and snacks on-site.
