CH&Co Group is celebrating success at the 2018 Health & Vitality awards.
ABsolutely Catering scooped the Health & Vitality in Education Honours in recognition of its work that has created a healthy eating culture in schools where food is enjoyed by children, teachers and parents.
The awards also highlighted our approach to creating healthier workplaces. An innovative healthy eating study by Charlton House received the runner up award in the Corporate Vitality Honours category. The initiative incentivised, educated and informed people to make healthier food choices with fantastic results.
Health & Vitality Honours is the industry platform for businesses to showcase best practice and help create a greater transparency on the social issues of health and nutrition throughout the foodservice supply chain.
ABsolutely offers children across the country freshly cooked meals that they want to eat, rather than have to eat. Helping to create a healthy eating culture for all, the team take a whole school approach that feeds into the curriculum, educates and gives practical advice for all.
In the last 12 months, the team have delivered 100 40-minute school nutrition action group talks, held numerous parent/child lunches as well as educated pupils in knowing more about where their food comes from. In addition, they have achieved 100% inclusivity for children with dietary requirements.
Operations Manager for ABsolutely, Rachel Dargie said: “Our approach has always been about making food fun but educational, and enabling young children to understand the importance food has on their growing bodies and minds. This latest accolade is proof that we are doing just that.”
